Christopher Nolan’s Filmography – My Least Favourite to My Absolute Favourite

With the recent release of Christopher Nolan’s new film, Dunkirk. I felt now would be a great time to do a wee personal list, ranking all of Nolan’s films. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, and with a new film just being added to his incredible filmography, this seems like the perfect time to do so. I should point out that even though I have seen Dunkirk (which you can read the full, in-depth review of, by clicking this link) I still think it is too soon to add it to this list. I need more time to let the film settle, before I begin to rank it alongside Nolan’s other films. But again, if you want to know what I thought of the film, just click on that link above. Review – Dunkirk

Dunkirk, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, is an absolutely incredible experience. Every single element of this film comes together; supporting and building on each other and delivering something that is powerful in its emotion and wholly engaging in its presentation. Almost from the moment the film starts, you are pulled into a true story that is unbelievable to witness, and never-failing in its momentum. There is much to break-down and talk about with Dunkirk, so let’s get out of the intro and on with the review.

Review – Youth

Youth, directed by Paolo Sorrentino, is a film filled with such life and also such tragedy. Sorrentino has a way of filling his films with characters and imagery that just immediately standouts and catches the eye. Some elements of the film do slightly lose their way and slow the film down, but this is a film that, in way, is impossible to not focus fully on. So let’s get the review on the go, and let the good and the bad of it be seen.

Review – Kingsman: The Secret Service

Kingsman: The Secret Service directed Matthew Vaughn is a film with a bit of an identity crisis, in one way the film wants to hark back to the classic spy films, ala Goldfinger and the likes but Kingsman also wants to give these classic spy films an edgier and up to date feel and because of this things quickly get messy and tonally all over the place.
