Review – Incredibles 2

Incredibles 2, written and directed by Brad Bird, doesn’t hold within it the same special magic that the first had, but that thankfully doesn’t stop it from still being a joyously fun adventure that had me entertained throughout. But, is it to good to be true? There are elements to this film that didn’t work for me, and it is certainly not as good as the first, but do those things stop it from being a film worth seeing? Review – Mudbound

Mudbound

Mudbound, directed by Dee Rees, is a film that during the early stages, spins its wheels and directs its focus in all the wrong places. The film fills time with melodrama and nothing much else, until it finally finds what should have always received its attention. I felt myself detaching from the film in the beginning; settling in for something that I would soon forget once it had finished, but the story and characters it then found and shone a light on, may have saved the film. Or did they, was this ultimately a wasted 134 minutes? Let’s explore that question and more, in my review, and see if this film is worth clicking over to Netflix for. Read more

Review – Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight, developed by Rocksteady is without a doubt the biggest Arkham game to date, but it is also perhaps the deepest and most rewarding one the developer has created yet. However, Rocksteady didn’t listen to the old mantra of; if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, and forced in certain aspects which make the game frustrating, and at times a step in the wrong direction when traditional Arkham games are considered.
