Review – Darkest Hour

Darkest Hour, directed by Joe Wright, offers a delicately handled, impeccably acted, stunningly shot piece of cinema, that shines a revealing, powerful light upon one of Britain’s greatest Prime Ministers, during one of the most impossibly difficult times in the country’s history. But it is also more than just one man’s resolve during a challenging time politically and personally; it is also a beautifully shot film, that takes the time to shine a spotlight on aspects that were affecting a time in British politics that was filled with fear and doubt.
